Swami Narayanananda
Swami Narayanananda was born in India in 1902. He became a monk in 1929 and went to the Himalayas for doing spiritual practice. After having attained Nirvikalpa Samadhi or Superconscious State in 1933, He continued to live in seclusion in the Himalayas for many years and wrote down His unique discoveries in the realm of Mind and Spirit. His books are now considered as authoritative works on Yoga and Psychology. After the bloody massacres by religious fanatics in Pakistan and India in 1947 He decided to help humanity and began to accept disciples. Swami Narayanananda has founded a new Religion, known as The Universal Religion. He entered Mahasamadhi in His Mysore Ashram, India, in 1988.
